Hi Kiwidave,

Great advice here on exercises. I had mild problem that was worsening so I started doing exercises and got kites with lighter pressure eventually.

What helped me was is trimming you kite so you have power with bar further out, keep the elbow extended like 70%. Riding with elbow at 90 degree killed me.

Yep i feel your pain Kiwi Dave - in time it will be called kiters elbow instead of tennis elbow. IMHO all advice is good but you need to do what works for you. I found the flex bar and Ultralieve Pro (small ultrasound device you can purchase from chemist) helpful. I never stopped kiting but after each session I iced my elbows then applied ibuprofen gel and used the ultrasound. All this helps reduce inflammation so the vascular system can get the nutrients to the traumatised area - and allows for a reasonable nights sleep! The good news is it will go away eventually. Good luck

I am sick of having this elbow pain...off and on past few years right side (which I partially blamed on mousing and stand up paddling), but now viciously bad left side....and only kiting to blame there. Appreciate this thread ... I am going to tackle this and get rid of it!

Among other things I have picked up one of these ultralieve machines...seems to be pretty good. Question for you: the part that hurts the most is the little bony bit forward and on top from elbow. Did you apply it right on that? Or around it? First time trying it, I figured I'd be all macho and need high setting...holy crap, instant pain. I found with light setting, I can still only work around it, can't get right on that bit. Is it one of those situations where you grit your teeth and work through the pain, or avoid it if too painful?

My physio advised to use the lite setting as the tendon is so close to the surface. Make sure you do the exercises too
