Yes, and sometimes I hit it and stack . The board and set up is bomb proof though. In indo I hit a bommie at full speed and thought I had smashed it.. nah, a couple of scratches on the underneath of the sings and that was ALL eheh.. bonus.Note: I am riding a short strut (750) that was made for me, exactly for that reason Cheers, V

One of the best video's I have seen in a while. Great foiling...I can only dream of being that skillful on a foil one day.

Yep, 5.5 on all shots. except for my mate on the yellow North at beginning. My 5.5 Drifter is my main kite and now my 7m is my big Momma , never use it anymore, it feels sooo slowww eheh.

I think the most it blew was 25-29 at one stage.. it's the 5.5 top end, the low wind is 11 knots - I'm not kidding , best kite ever.

Cheers for the great comments.. it took a while but now I progress faster every day. I am not into big jumps with tricks although I can and do jump. I just want to ride waves better and get closer and closer to the pocket.. getting there slowly but surely.V

Hey mate, I ride directional and I am Goofy. 90% of the time I don't bother switching, I really don't need it and do the same on the surfboard. Once you learn to not lose ground on toeside I really see no advantage in switching. Specially not while wave riding, there's no time or need.

But that's my view of course, each to his own

Coming from you.. I am very honored. Lots to learn and there are no shortcuts to experience so I am experimenting as I go, wish I had more time.

I have a new weapon just set up so I will post something new if the wind cooperates. Getting my shoulder rebuilt in March and I am quickly running out of time.

The advantage of changing your feet when sailing opposite tacks is the body-balance that you can achieve ( if you wish).

With no bias, your entire body is more centred, calm and is in a state of harmony with regards to strength.

Kitesurfing is so fun and the bonus is total body-balance (if you so desire).

Liquid Force? Pff.. I don't own one of those. MHLCustom makes race boards mate, I've adapted their stuff and asked for changes for me alone. I've always ridden "Lift" which is the MHL product. While I have nothing against LF, theirs is a beginner board.. you outgrow that in 3 runs and simply cannot compare quality. Mine are full carbon boards, another world altogether .To answer your questions: this is a new design that I commissioned. Comes in at 6.7kgs completely set up. I built my own pads and Versa Grip combo. The foil is exactly the same as the "Shorty", the one on the video above.. also a full carbon board at 7.1kgs complete. My new strut is now 2" longer than Shorty>It rides like a dream and it's very light and fast. Haven't had any wind to speak of so I can test in waves and also test the board alone, which was the point of the new build - front concave and back channels. The whole board is custom for me - size, shape, fin boxes, channels.. one of a kind. And so is the paint job, a Sir V special metalic paint that I requested.Here's a couple of pics of the build, before and after the pads I made for it. I will post a full report when I have completed my findings.

I meant, ventilation, pop out of the water then dive bomb straight down through the bite water onto the nose of the fuse and wing...?

We've got a Lift v1 and 2 for sale locally...am tempted but still haven't completed 3 sessions on my LF, apparently...
