Your gear is all pretty old isn't it (and that swivel looks quite old)? There is nothing welded where that broke, although parts of the ring that broke off are welded.
Nothing lasts forever not even 316, and none of the stainless kiteboarding components (from any brand) is made from 316 as far as I know? They are all made by a couple of Chinese manufacturers and are made from recycled stainless, because this makes the components affordable and generally more than durable enough.
I did not say do not rinse bars and lines and I said I normally do, as I did today because there are beach showers at most of the regular spots I visit. Soak in a bucket of water is a good idea.
Don't you think that after 11 years servicing Ozone products I've seen some old bars (all brands)? Sure none of my Ozone bars are older than 2 years, but mine definitely get a lot of use!
Go see your nearest Ozone dealer, they will most likely replace that for free, I would if you were in Oz.
