No dramas about the board Steve, glad I could help. It was not that long ago that it was me bobbing around feeling very venerable a couple of hundred metres off shore, wondering if it would be a croc, shark, or box jellyfish that was going to ruin my day!

Unfortunately missed the downwinder, sounded like an awesome trip!

Can't work out the kiting as Cas beach part of the story, it was blowing from the SE all day??

You'll be shocked what the docs in NT know about stingers, crocs, snakes and other nasties. Diddly squat. Frankly, you're better off going to the local VET or the local University's poisinous animal labs for better treatment.

According to the ABC interview it was at Lee Point. Croc catcher went and visited the guy in hospital and would have called bulls... if it was the case.

Have just called Crocwise about the croc hanging around the mouth of Micketts Creek.

He responded to directions when catching the croc, helped pull it into the boat, and did a great job," Ms Britton said."I wasn't sure what to expect at first because you don't meet royalty every day, but I found him very approachable and easy to chat with."Ms Britton said the Prince came across as "self-confident but humble"."There's no doubt he enjoyed the experience, taking plenty of photos with a huge smile. Meet the people who have the job of catching one of the world's deadliest predators — the saltwater crocodile.
Senior wildlife ranger and veteran croc catcher Tommy Nichols said Prince Harry came across as a "nice bloke"."He seemed to have a great time and was relaxed and obviously has a great sense of humour," Mr Nichols said."Prince Harry managed to speak to all members of the crocodile team during the time he spent with us and he appeared to be a nice bloke."Mr Nichols said it was the first time of the team had met a member of the Royal Family."We were all very excited," he said.The Prince posed for a souvenir shot with Mr Nichols, Ms Britton and rangers Luke McLaren and Stewie Woerle.Minister for Parks and Wildlife Bess Price said it was because of their "excellent reputation" the NT team was entrusted with Royal cargo for a "top secret mission" last month."Territory rangers are the best in the world in crocodile management and it is a true reflection of their excellent reputation that they were trusted to give Prince Harry such a hands-on experience."The Northern Territory crocodile management program regularly hauls over 200 crocodiles from Darwin harbour each year.

Returned from fishing at Charles Point a couple of weeks before a Christmas, saw a huge croc just outside Larrakeyah Army Barracks. They are everywhere. I just won't admit that to my missus, but now will have second thoughts on getting out of the boat when in the creeks.
Won't stop me from getting back into kiting. I apologise in advance to the Darwin crew if I drift in the way and please do not think that I am being snobbish/unfriendly if I set up and launch a lot further upwind on the beach.
No, it was not me Robbie on Saturday. Was briefly kiting there on Sunday morning though ... and was a sitting duck when I was submerged in the water. Might have to wear a flak jacket next time.
