Had a boosty good session this week...using a 12m Naish Draft. What a silly kite, so much bar pressure but lots of hang time. Whatever happened to them?

Down at my local its nothing but people helping each other launch and land and having friendly discussions about gear and conditions. some guys even rock up witha twin tip and a surfboard and then alternate between styles Outrageous!!!!!!!

This all in bloody hippy love fest needs to stop before somone pulls out a ukulele and starts singing koombaya !!!!

First that needs to go is we need to ban allround do it all kites like the Naish pivot, ozone enduro etc. these things just promote interstylism Surfboards should not be made with " strap inserts" they should either be 100% strapped or unstrapped, mutants well they will just have to go - hydrofoils- who cares !!!

Build a wall but not to keep people out just because on the downwind side of this wall there will be sweet flat water and clean waves

I wouldn't of blown a 17 up
He then grabbed a foil and proceeded to shout around
Pretty amazing in performance
Might have a crack too one day when I'm 60

But you can't argue with this stupidness.



I'm through the stupid crashing stage and can foil up and down wind and lay down some carves which feel freaken awesome. Now I need to get the gybes sorted and get some airtime and ride some waves!

vid reminds me of the TT boys 10 years ago re dangle, early days! anyone got any upwind foil angle penetration measurements yet, always thought kites biggest drawback was upwind angles, lucky to get say 10/15 degrees ps. how many other boards can boost like that except dimitris

Lots. Way more than you can with anything that doesn't have massive fins, and I suspect foils are easier to ride than the race boards. And you don't need to build speed to do it (which I ignorantly assume you have to with race boards) so I if you can get in the board, you can foil and crack upwind....which is what the nay sayers just don't get, I suspect.

All my mates are on surfboards now but I'm a creature of habit and can't get past my tt, maybe that's why they f'ed me off ?
