To KB Dave, Elliot and a few others......thanks for keeping it real

I was there on the day and tried to help 2 beginners in a bad situation,,,,,,,I am only going to talk about what I know to be true, what I saw and what I did.
It was a gusty day approx. 25knts with frontal systems looming in the arvo, I had been out for a couple of hours and kept looking over my shoulder at the clouds rolling in and could feel the wind increasing so I decided to call it a day. As i am returning to shore on a port tack I notice two beginner kiters had crashed and their lines were crossed, so I kite back out to see if they would be able to free themselves and move on. When I first arrive, I discover that Simon's kite is inverted and Geili's seems to be ok, they were both still attached at this stage but moving towards each other with the pull of the kites. The kites were
not tangled, the lines were just crossed
but, Geili is tangled in Simon's lines and can't tell me where, nor could I see them. I then tack away for a few seconds to assess the downwind area and see that it seems to be clear, so I return and tell both kiters to fully release and note that Simon had already released QR1, but Geili seemed to be still attached to hers.
I grab her board (don't know where his was), took it to shore and returned to find Simon had swum away and she appeared to be free from her kite. My plan was to body drag/tow her closer to shore, as we weren't far away, so someone could grab the kite (cross onshore) and diffuse the situation. Remember, Simon's kite is still inverted and she is still tangled in his lines with a frontal system on top of us!
I repeatedly tell her to grab the back of my harness so I can tow her to shore but she says she can't. All of a sudden Simon's kite starts death looping downwind at an unbelievable speed (11m Nomad, she is prolly 65kg) with this poor girl tangled in the lines. I try to chase after her but remember feeling nothing but despair at not being able to get to her and thinking she is going to drown.....The kite finally stops looping (approx. 500m down the broadwater) and a boat stops to pick her up. Others had already left in a car to find her.
I arrive back at the beach around the same time as the guy's got back with Geili in the car. I expect to find her injured in some way but amazed to see her badly shaken , relatively unharmed, but best of all
alive!
I did not know either persons name till I read this thread.......
By the way.....that is not a jump Simon is doing in the video, he is being lofted!
