If my mates and me want to organise a sail together we have messenger groups for that. If youre looking to hook up for a sail with someone/somewhere new you can get still started with it here.

Seabreeze does weather (well it actually does much more). But it's not tinder for watersports.

That is very different to LooakatMeBook or Insta. Different format, serves a very different purpose.
If you can figure out a way to have niche subjects, with sub-topics, for discussion, and incorporate that into FB or Insta just like how it works here you go for it. You'll be famous.

It went away as not everyone is as bright as you.
C0cks used it in their petty little games, so basically it ended up that if certain people said the sky was blue, it would be full red thumbs. Made it hard for beginners asking valid questions to sort the wheat from the chaff in responses. Laurie did the right thing in getting rid of it.

The stats were basically most people had given out 75% green and 25% red, but a couple of folks had done like 50 greens and 1000 plus red. Thats really sad.

Shame it can't still be a red and green system, but the 2 or 3 idiots ruin it for the majority as usual.

I've been on seabreeze for years,the reason for my post was I've noticed that a lot of guys in the forum room I visit have left because of group chats on instagram,I don't do facebook and don't need seabreeze for the weather I use it for the forums and to me it looks stale.

Your group chat on Insta reaches how many people? And is it specialised (ie they are all wavesailors or freeriders and all Qld etc)?

Its not the same as a forum

You're kinda like saying get rid of Wikipedia as there are a heap of smart people on Insta chat groups.

The format is different. Its a different purpose.
