A hoax pandemic to convince us all to vaccinate was attempted in 1976 however, we have short memories....and more to the point, fear always overrules rational thought.

Fear, is the currency of control.

After the bad press from all the Swine Flu vaccine injuries, the drug companies threatened to stop making vaccines and so asked the US Government to completely indemnify them from liability and lawsuits. No problem.

Safe from any risk of prosecution, the number of vaccines listed in the US exploded and with them so did the "modern" neurological and immunological diseases like autism and food allergies and of course, profits.

All coincidental, of course.

One thing that has really stood out to me in the last year is how quickly people point the finger. It is unbelievable someone is always at fault and i am not just talking about covid.

We can hang sh!t on Dan Andrews all we want but it is not going to fix the problem. As of yesterday victoria had another 41 cases and 7 deaths. If you opened the state with those numbers, you would end up with thousands of cases over the next fortnight. Then the previous 6 months of lockdown would all be a big waste of time.

By the looks of it the general trend is that the cases are going down. Hang in there boys, with everyone doing the right thing you will have the state opened sooner rather than later.

Yep, that graph implies herd immunity is emerging the hard way. But the disease can be stopped without herd immunity by isolating it. That buys time and saves lives until a vaccine is available.

You can go for herd immunity by letting the vulnerable die or be permanently impaired or you can stall it and wait for the vaccine to achieve the same thing. I think the latter is the responsible course.

He did a really good job of explaining the "harvesting" effect which is why Sweden had a greater spike in deaths than their neighbours. Sweden entered the virus following years of statistically low mortality which explains the "dry tinder" result. The overall deaths when comparing Sweden and their lockdown neighbours are the same when charted over five years.
Later in the video he explains the second waves. Some are caused by the size of the country resulting in mixed speed infection rates. Others are simply "casedemics" where positive "cases" are used to generate frightening numbers when infact most of the second wave cases don't result in death.
Also, the only way to stop one out of a thousand people dying every year is immortality. If we don't lose ten out of a thousand each year the exponential population growth would soon be unsustainable.
It's sad that people will die with Covid. It's even sadder that people are unwilling to accept the reality of the situation.

Doesn't the development and testing of a vaccine require the virus to be circulating at a reasonable rate?

30,000 people in the test, 15,000 with the real vaccine, 15,000 with a placebo, test is successful when a statistically significant number of the placebo folk catch the virus vs the vaccinated people.
