Its modern culture though, who says it has to have rules... but I would still discriminate against them if they can't spell!
Not far off not needing to know how to spell at all and pens and keyboards are not far off being obsolete.
You can already just talk to your phone or laptop and it writes it for you, no need to write or type in the very close future.
Pens will be in a museum next to those feathers you use to dip in an ink pot. lol

Ahh you are too young to know better. What is also in that area? 'I think we will have flying cars within ten years', which has been said for decades now.
'I think we will have driveless cars in the next ten years'. Admittedly said a long time ago, but getting close now.
Us humans seem to be very optimistic when it comes to technology. Things seem to take longer than expected sometimes.
Even the idea that we will all have electric cars in ten years seems at the moment a good possibility, but I wouldn't be surprised if we only have a minority of them in ten years.
Things do often change in leaps and bounds, but sometimes they don't.
In business meetings, I still go in with paper and pens. It seems very trendy to go in with ipads, but I think I can do a better job at the moment with taking notes and drawing up diagrams, just with paper and pens. Customers seem to like you taking notes too, but with ipads it becomes a bit of a distraction. Imagine if you were in the same meeting and trying to make your own notes by speaking them... it would never fly.
Try and sell something without a business proposal? Doesn't often work. Try and sell something with a badly written business proposal. It probably won't work. Try and sell something with a badly written business proposal with poor spelling. It probably won't work. A lot of people will judge you and your business on this.
I bought a copy of Dragon Naturally Speaking. Its good being able to dictate, but I can just about type faster. The accuracy for voice recognition is getting better, but I think there is always going to be a need to proof read and correct.
