For me it was Voodoo Chile by Jimi Hendrix, here's a great version by SRV, the only guy other than buddy guy who could do it justice other than the great man himself:

Here's Buddy Guy's version:

Here's the original song by the great man himself, still makes my hair stand on end!! :

Just trying to think how you would chategorize this type of music? Psychadelic Hardcore Electric Blues?? Seeing Buddy Guy do this song live @ Perth Concert Hall is probably the Music highlight of my life.

What is yours?

I must admit Stevie Ray V is one of my personal favourites, and absolutely kicking myself that I couldn't afford tickets to Eric Clapton a few weeks ago - 461 Ocean Boulevard is still one of my favourite albums.

But for some reason, and I'm sure some of you will think I am a sad case, my all time personal favourite song is Sorrow by David Bowie.

Im withya Wall... more than 1/2 of ur songs are my fav ones... awesome as....
Sometimes it's still the original artist like Frank Sinatra, or sometimes its re-done by a very similar one such as Michael Buble.

Give it about 10 years and about every single song from the 30's through to the 90's will have been re-done, re-mixed, re-everything in some way or form, most likely beyond recognition, and it'll still hit the charts at number one. That's the music; moreover, entertainment industry for you!

Same with fashion. [Some of the dumbest things are back.] Like omg I just so look hot in tight stockings and a long shirt. Talk about 70s or whenever that was. lol. Hilarious as some of the things u see chicks around in. (imo that is)...

lol. Goodwinds fellas...

As long as you Asuatralian you can't go any further than Cold Chissel. It's as good as you get. As far as American goes Aerosmith is great to. They are the only country in the world as we all know.

grumplestiltskin:
I've herd from couple people Clapton was nothing special. He didn't play "Sunshine of your love" or even "Tears in heaven". He just said hello and goodbye, didn't talk to the crowd barely at all.

I went to The Eagles and John Fogerty in the past year and they were so awsome. Only complaint was Fogerty was way to loud and everyone thought so. Eagles was a much more professional concert. All music was outstanding though.

LOUD..you want LOUD

I was at my daughter's graduation last year in the Great Hall at Sydney Uni. It's a huge gothic sandstone & timber building.
leant over & said "last time I was in here was for a Billy Thorpe & Aztecs concert in 1972"...."dad, you're an idiot"

Now that was LOUD...reverberating off the sandstone walls

Vale Billy...legend

For goodness sake Cold Dribble are Australia's most overrated band ever!

If it wasn't for the lack of imagination of commercial radio in their selection of Australian content they would have disapeared into obscurity long ago

Men at Work and Cold Chissel are the two most Australian bands ever around. I like Cold Chissel much more though.

Anyone else go to Fogerty. Trust me. It was extremeily loud. Even the tour guide i know said it was loud and his herd everything and every band.

Rare for Miles to be flat footed by a relatively pedestrian cooking class, but Hancock is a far cry from Parker and Co. and even further from Miles native "Cool Bebop".
Hancock'S "Head Hunters" album was decades ahead of it's time.
