That article talks about N balances over millions of year scales, so it's hardly relevant to N-fixation in current agriculture or the environment more generally.
Besides which, it looks like Australian agriculture's problem isn't a lack of fertilisers, it's a lack of rain, because the Southern Ocean cold fronts aren't coming as far north as they used to. And that was predicted decades ago.

Even two kids per couple would do....enough people choose to have 0 or 1, so we'd still get progressive reduction in population.

The biggest joke is this idea of ever increasing economic growth. People seem to think it's necessary, when it's not at all.

Imagine if the population stopped growing, so we all had enough housing, etc. Oh, but the building industry will come to a stand still and we'll all be out of jobs they shout. No, what it really means, is that we all only need to work 2 or 3 days a week to supply what the community needs. No need to build new dwellings, and there'll also be no need to expand infrastructure such as roads. etc. Will only need to maintain what we have, which means consumption of raw materials can decrease dramatically. There'll be less traffic, less stress, and probably people will have enough time to start enjoying things like sailing again.

Archeological studies have confirmed this is not unusual .Much colder 300 yrs ago and warmer 1000 yrs ago and warmer again 2000 yrs ago .Sea levels/glaciers have risen and fallen accordingly.Nobody really knows what the control of that was and pretty much dont know whats happening now .If the polititions stay out of it scientists may work something out.

Yes but the ancient events happened over much longer periods, unless it was due to massive vulcanism or meteor strikes. What we are experiencing now was predicted decades ago and is happening very quickly.
