Where is/who is the fkg vegan who's going to tell us that eating eggs is a crime/sin/unreasonable/cruel & unfair to the chook(s)?
Come on - you know it, you're out there.

I'm a vegan . I don't really care about the wellbeing of chooks even though I should. What I do care about is nasty people being rude about healthy lifestyle choices that are different to yours.
As regards eggs watch this video which I have already posted but will do so again.

Haven't you ever wondered why eggs are categorized as cage eggs, free range and barn eggs? Did you imagine it was just pandering to misconceptions? I guess that might be understandable. But no, the chook industry has a long history of institutional cruelty. That's why they are regulated; to keep the cruelty down to an "acceptable" level.

What's the best way to make scrambled eggs?
I have had several attempts recently with no luck.
I like it when they are yellow with white bits and smooth creamy texture?

I saw something on TV recently where she boiled/simmered some water, poured the scrambled egg mixture into the water, waited a very short time, and took it out. She said it was perfect scrambled eggs. It looked a bit different, so I am keen to try it to see how it tastes and what texture it has.

Has anyone else tried this?

I am a bit of a traditionalist, and a fried egg on toast is delicious. With the yoke just right and still a little bit runny.

On the other hand, if you are eating a decent bibimbup the egg and chilli sauce is eggsellent.

I also love using left over mince from spaghetti bolognese, or even beef tacos, and making huevos rancheros for breakfast. I.e. lightly fry a flour tortilla in a pan, add some mince on top, followed by a fried egg. A dash of chilli sauce as well, and yum yum yum!

To keep it simple - during the cooking process add a handful of cheese for scrambled eggs then place on toast with pepper.

So chooks lay eggs approx 1 a day but they lay more if theres a rooster around? Is that right?
When they lay them and theres no rooster they last quite a while . But heaps longer i hear if you coat the shells in vaseline (yachties trick) as the shells are porous.
But if theres a rooster wont they start turning into chickens?, or does that stop if u collect them and they havent been sat on? Unsure how the whole rooster baby chicken thing plays out having never kept chooks. Like the idea but figure 5 bucks a week is a small price to pay to not step in chicken shxt all the time which i loathe

Having had chooks and rooster, i found thattif they don't get incubated within a day or two, or get cold, they don't develop, so pop them in the fridge right away if U want to be sure

Mine were old english game bantams, but im guessing it applies to other types of chook eggs too?

best way is to cook them very gently....Like making custard, in a bowl over boiling water, or just a low heat . Do not add any thing, milk cheese cream etc until the eggs are almost cooked

That's a website promoting primarily one man's opinions. That's not facts about nutrition.

For example, in a talk, he claimed that a single meal rich in animal products can "cripple" one's arteries

The fact is, humans evolved as omnivorous like many mammals.

There's no amount of convoluted theorising one can do to deny that fact.

how do you know someone's a vegan?

They will get on a watersports forum with a thread about how to best cook eggs and tell you.

My mate 30 years ago found himself at a chicken culling factory and he told me the other day he did not eat chicken for a very long time.

Theres a conveyor belt with the chooks on it and there's a cutting line that the chooks pass through.

Unforunately it does not do the job very efficiently and a few percent survive.

Very cruel for the ones that miss out.

It's not just opinion. Greger backs up all his claims with industry tests. His whole shtick is to trawl through as much of the published test data as he can and publish reports on that.

He is a vegan. He's also a director of the International Humane Society which is an animal rights org. He's been accused of cherry picking data which wouldn't surprise me given the enormous variability in published nutrition data but I think by and large he is more right than wrong.

Yes your arteries can and often are temporarily crippled after meals. It just means they can't dilate as they normally would because the nitrous oxide response from the endothelial walls can be blocked by dairy and fat. It's the opposite effect of beet juice (and many other veges but not all) that dilate your blood vessels.

The fact that we are omnivores just means we can eat and survive on all sorts of stuff. It doesn't necessarily reflect what's best for us.

In the abattoir I worked in they had a Muslim chappie there using a knife to slit the throat to the birds which were missed by the mechanical process.

This allowed for the birds to be classified as Halal!

Logically you would therefore also accept that other mammals that live in the wild are eating their optimum diet, through natural evolution?
