Well here it is Friday Night again which is the time to slough off the pressures of the week, meet with mates, have a drink and enjoy some music.

At our local pub tonight, 5 mins stroll from my door step and being the Melbourne Hotel in Bundaberg upon which Woolworths has just spent $4,000,000, the entertainer in the Rum Bar which has over 100 rums of which one can partake, the most expensive of which comes at $250 per nip, was Chris Fair.

He is a Canadian who resides in Brisbane. He is quite a talented and I must say committed musician as he drives up from Brisbane (4 hours) to play at our humble venue which he has done several times to date.

His ride is a yellow Jeep Wrangler and he happened to park it in just the right spot so that the Bundy Rum Bar sign reflected off his side window.

What YDNUB means, I have not a clue.




So Chris gets set up and tuned in and before he starts I ask him if he will give us a bit of Creedence tonight. He said "Yeah. Why not." So I said how about Suzie Q.". Then he said "Yeah, I think I have got it." and strums a bit and sings a bit.

So then I say if you want to do the guitar bit, I will have a go at the singing bit. He agrees and we have a go. Needless to say neither of us nailed it but we agreed to have another go at on another occasion.

After that he did a bit of lick on his guitar and I said that sounds like a bit of hint at Jimi Hendrix and he said yeah and did a top job on this number which he morphed into the next one.
