Yep, still for sale not had many bites yet. All offers considered but $50 isn't going to cut it. Think about how much time and work has gone into making a profile this awesome. $50 is quite an insult. I may report anyone who offers such a low amount.

And why would you want to change the logon name ?

Surely nobody keeps changing their logon name ? Holey Maloney, not since scirca1984 when MP Peter Dutton was still a copper, or since hAdrian was still building his abonomination of a wall or since Groucho was the smart brother has anyone kept changing forum names.

You'd probably have to be a bit of a moron of inferior intelligence to beLIEve you could just change your forum name and not expect everyone to know who you are, so what would be the point ?

The universally acclaimed Carantoc forum profile has had the same name since inception. Is it really that hard to not offend people to the extent you have to change names to pretend you are somebody else ? I know I have never offended anyone on here.

I had a more comprehensive reply but it wouldn't allow me to post it for some reason?

I was suggesting that there is too much negative 'good will' associated with your account, so it would need to have the logon name changed.

I have a similar problem. No one would want FN account as it has a lot of underlying issues and would colour their responses on this forum. The only one who would be okay with it is the current owner, but he is moving to the country and needing to sell up soon.

Mmm...and some wonder why HW was binned...

BTW I think I've worked out why you had trouble posting Formula. See how long it takes you to work it out.

Looks like seabreeze is about to become a game of "Masked Singer". Everyone who has been banned is about to come back with a different login, we have to figure out who it is. I reckon peter dutton is either HG or PM33.

I would guess its from idiots that get very political and caught up in angry discussions. Its a shame as hw was good there for a while, but then a few people forgot that its meant to be rational reasonable discussion, not just rants.
Its interesting that people cant control themselves, then get angry at moderation, and then go off thinking no moderation is better. No moderation is a recipe for disaster as the only people that participate are the real dregs.

I think we did a round of that, and i think only the genuine 'passionate' go to that trouble. The rest of us find something else to do.

Yep, maybe it would be a good thing to not let new users create new topics as others have said, and maybe not let them post for the first few weeks that they register? It might also stop those spam users dropping in.

Anyone aware of any other similar forums to what HW should have been? I know in the old days network news 'forums' used to be good when there was a good group of people that got along well.. but then some of them fell apart when people took things too far.

Unlike our resident crazy, lack of moderation is not a good thing.

It's easy to ignore this thread, let alone not post in it. Some of them sound like that cranky old person down the road who is looking for something to get angry at.

but you had better be careful. I think P M 3 3 g o i n g m i s s i n g could be a real thing and I do not type too much for fear of my own safety.

How do we know he is even missing? For all we know he and spotty are in an echo chamber and have not realised HW is closed for maintenance and are merrily posting stuff and there are random replies that they can just ignore? Would they notice? Perhaps they are part of a computer simulation and it is so good they have not noticed the transition?

What sort of loser would do that? Its one thing to ignore something, but another thing to participate, make it worse, and then ask that it be cancelled.

It can't be Bono though as this PD person has comprehension problems. 'us true-blue heavy weather users' must mean something wrong by the sounds of it.

I reckon Harrow's call on page 1 is pretty accurate and this thread could be a stroke of commercial genius from the original poster ..................... it might even be getting enough hits to get the revenue up to the dizzying heights of when HW was still alive ...................

For someone who has only had access to SB for a couple of weeks you seem to have an intimate knowledge of everything that occurred long before you arrived on the scene, or did Laurie leave the back gate open so you could sneak in again "Mr Dutton"?
