Andrew McLachlan, Commodore at Georges River Sailing Club, has generously offered to run a "Formula Boards Start" at the upcoming Sail Sydney Regatta in two week ends time - 19th & 20th of December. Racing will be on the beautiful Sydney Harbour together with the RS-X guys. Formula will have it's own start and a course will be set just north of Shark Island.
We'll be launching from the Woollahra Sailing Club.
www.woollahrasailingclub.org.au/ Sebastian Kornum(DEN-24), Christian Justesen(DEN-26) & Brett Morris(AUS-8) have all entered the event and together with the RS-X fleet, a quality field like this should provide the perfect platform to show case the joys of windsurfing course racing on Sydney Harbour. As it's the first time Formula boards have been invited onto the Yachting Australia stage, this is also a unique opportunity to present the class to a broader sailing audience & one not to be missed.
YA Club affiliated members are eligible to enter, however if you're not a member of a YA affiliated club, you can pay a special one off membership fee of $50 to GRSC via the Storm-riders Windsurfing Club for the YA insurance.

The regatta entry fee is $140 for the two day event with all the regatta details on the Sail Sydney web site.
Entry now open to Formula Boards, so head to the 'Competitors' menu link and then click 'Enter Online' and use the third option, 'I am registering for the first time and do not have a YA Number'. Then follow the prompts to register.
