Why else do they repeatedly mention channel nines flagship program on the Seabreeze general forum?

^^ The program talks to it's audience like they are 10 years old. Something hilly and D3 refuse to do.

Seabreeze.com.au also needs far more self apointed experts on all subjects - especially highly emotional, 'shouty' ones who demonstrate a tendency to get moderators involved.

Isn't the future just how you choose to view the world?

Obviously AI will have some incredible benefits, but also has an equal amount of negatives. I guess time will tell. AI has already changed our society and it's not going away..

I wonder if I will live long enough to see if AI is as transformational as is being predicted. Will it be Skynet or Chappie or the robot from lost in space.

If you go to some Chinese cities you will see lots of robots, drones delivering food etc. There were robots in our hotel, providing room service. All the newer Chinese cars are integrated with AI. Might take 50 years for this to appear in Queensland.

Listen to this and you think - wow, one of the great soul voices - and then the letdown when you realise it's all AI. There' a rash of similar vids out there.

I watched this yesterday. It's pretty long (almost 9 hours), but interesting how close we are - and have been - to a total nuclear catastrophe.

www.netflix.com/title/81614129

Unfortunately, some of these moronic Christian Nationalists freaks are at the helm now in the U.S, and the threat of earth's destruction is no further away than it was decades ago.

After watching it I couldn't help thinking about the close similarities between Borris Yeltsin in his later years and Donald Trump now.

An old obese and very unwell clown.

And it appears, if the recent news on ABC can be trusted, we have about 3 years before computers get so powerful they can break the bitcoin transaction security codes quicker than bitcoin can transact. Thus, presumably, making the BTC block-chain about as secure as MSN leaving his house key under his Big W tree-of-life door mat.

Bitcoin moves with technology and when quantum computing is ready to break bitcoins epileptic curve algorithm, you will see more powerful algorithms being used. Bitcoin and blockchain is not going away anytime soon - it's here to stay.

It will outlive you.

Using AI to write code does make it quicker and easier to totally stuff up your business. Heaps of undocumented, unintelligible code that is not even remotely maintainable Bug fixes are a nightmare and if you ever change AI code generators that you throw all you have done in the bin and start again. What a fun way to go broke.

I think you do make an excellent point. It's good for writing tiny snippets of code, where you know the input and output. But you would be correct in totally relying on AI to write big chunks of code - I can't see that working out.

The 'thirteen' quote was from yesterday using Deep Seek. I use Gemini to reimagine photos to give me ideas. I agree that it writes computer code very well. I'm using chatgpt far less these days. Some of the other AI's do a better job with some questions.

Buying bitcoin in 2016 allowed me to retire a few years earlier. So I can't complain.

I don't think AI is a gimmic. It will change our society, it's just not great at some things,
I use it a lot for recipes, reimagining spaces, a variety of complex legal questions, writing to council and trying to fix my broken two stroke engines. Usually its more accurate than not and provides useful ideas.

What is a number under 1000 that contains the letter 'a'

Let's list number names under 1000 and see if any contain the letter a.
Numbers like:
? 100 ? "one hundred" (no 'a')
? 101 ? "one hundred one" (no 'a')
? Generally, many numbers have no 'a' until you get to 1000 itself and some in the hundreds place if the tens/units include the word "and" with an 'a', but "and" is often spoken but not written in formal number names.
? However, the number eight ? has no 'a';
? nine ? has no 'a';
? ten ? no 'a';
? eleven, twelve - no 'a' inside (though 'eleven' has an 'e' and an 'v').
Actually, let's think:
Sometimes numbers contain letters when spelled as one, two, three, .
Check small numbers for 'a':
? zero (has 'o', 'e', 'r', 'o' - no 'a')
? one (has 'o', 'n', 'e' - no 'a')
? two (no 'a')
? three (no 'a')
? four (no 'a')
? five (no 'a')
? six (no 'a')
? seven (no 'a')
? eight (no 'a')
? nine (no 'a')
? ten (no 'a')
? eleven (has 'e','l','v','n' - no 'a')
? twelve (no 'a')
? thirteen (contains 'a') - yes! thirteen has an 'a' (thirteen: third letter from start: i, r, a - an 'a').
Thirteen is 13, which is under 1000.
So thirteen is an example.
Thus, the simplest answer is 13 (since the question says "a number", not "the smallest").

Yeah, I hope they realise what they've created. It is a bit of a worry if its already at the self preservation stage.

Let's say we don't get skynet though. The job losses will be gradual, gradual enough that there will be no planning around the fact that whole sectors of industry will see massive job losses, humans will be redundant, but not suddenly enough that anyone has do anything about it. Do we all just turn destitute? I'd kinda like to know there's a grand plan for what the human race does when next to no one needs to clock in anymore.

Its like we are being slowly colonized by tech billionaires. It's a bummer that our 5 eyes didn't see this happening. Thinking more about it, maybe that was their intention all along.

My career was wiped out in 2023. AI can have it. I was over it.

No doubt AI will eliminate many traditional roles. Hard to know how many roles it will create, but in saying that I don't envy the situation that graduate university students are facing right now.

I find lots of Jews very funny, they make terrific observations of daily and mundane life.

It conflicts me when you see a minority of zionist Jews making fun out of genocide and war crimes using humor.

I guess that's just another special trick only Jews are able to get away with at this moment.

I don't think he is helping our governments social cohesion policy.

On another note, and to pivot away from the Anzac Graves in Gaza.

I was reading on Facebook, so I'm not sure if it's true or not, that the same cancer cells found in Netanyahu's prostrate were found in Trumps mouth. What are the chances of that?

When I to listen to the pedant, Carantoc, or Formula Nova talk I feel connected and want to contribute to improve outcomes

D3, hilly, whoever - could you explain to me like I am a 10 year old, headmaster, why the western coalition lost the war ?

There's a TV show on Channel 7 right now called Bravery and Betrayal that explains why we lost the war in Afghanistan in a really simple, easy-to-understand way - like you're 10 years old.

It's one of those grey areas that's hard to distinguish a line in the sand. Minorities pushing for welcome to/aknowledgement of country (WTC) to be part of every gathering and contained in all government and some private emails etc. While other minorities reject the entire premise of WTC and don't want to see it anywhere.

I'm not really enjoying this idea that every issue needs to be viewed as black and white, I'm quite ok with grey so I guess like most of us I'm bipolar too.

As cammd mentioned Anzac day is a day where we honour the sacrifices made so WTC is appropriate and booing it is a taboo in my book.

The welcome to country ceremony maybe is a bit over used at some privately funded events and gatherings, but I would argue that it is appropriate and should be part of the Anzac day dawn ceremony.

If some people are booing that, I think it is very disappointing. and disrespectful to our first nation people.

Whoever is doing it, I fail to see how it would possibly help their cause and question their motives for attending the Anzac day dawn services.

When I was a kid it was a big deal, then it went off for a while, then it became a big deal again and now some people boo it.

Is it the welcome to country stuff? I don't get it, I'm probably getting old and not up with these things.
