Dont believe all you hear or read. Lake Dangerous is a good go to spot in NE as the wind funnels down between Collaroy and Elanora Hgts. Usually a few knots stronger than the ocean. It is very gusty but if you get out early its fine. Birdwood park is a very shallow weed infested spot with lots of bird life. Self explanatory re water quality and nowhere near the sailing spots. I was out Friday arvo and it was fun. Couple of fins, couple of wind foilers and the usual water rats, "wingers". Dont be put off.
My old GT31 has frozen with just the 2 sec peak on the screen. It was working ok when I went out. I do keep my car key in the aquapac together with GPS. Any tips would be welcome. It has a full battery charge if that helps. Its bloody old
