I posted this question last week but it seems it was deleted. The question is does anyone know of an insurer for an older boat that does not insist on renewal of the rigging after 10 years. I only sail in sheltered waters, and the rigging looks good and is circa 12 years old.

Acid wash, you can try industrial vinegar or ascetic acid.

Not sure if it is OK to post here as well, but a lady needs to get rid of a length of 10mm chain plus a fly fishing drogue. I also have a rock pick anchor to give away. Location St Ives Sydney.

I shudder when I see that complex wiring diagram and think it is going to be installed on a boat.
Oh for the old days when sailing was a way to return to older, more simple ways of oil lamps and coastal navigation with compass bearings and a pencil on paper charts.
Sure a GPS is great, and some LED lighting is better, but do we really need complex electronics to enjoy sailing?
