If you're adding salt in your meals, then cut that out of your cooking. Salt is very bad for the bones.

and replace with bromide, right?

So knock a few knots off then for the wind at water level? Or just ignore it and use Banana Bank and Hope Bank?

Depends on where the wind is coming from. I would just use the RQYS meter + livewind Australia and have a bit of a think. Particularly if there is discreptancy between banana bank and hope banks that's a sign you'll probably won't encounter the wind at RQYS. If they all the say the same thing it is fairly accurate. Hope banks is usually the most accurate - if you have any easterly in the wind at the dogbeach you get a bit more wind due to the draft from king island/wellington point.

someone was disappointed with the wind last few days haha. The meter on Saturday read 15 knots with 20 knot gusts while out on sea. Overestimated by like 6-8 knots.

Have you had your bone density checked recently. Breaking a rib in this manner shouldn't really happen.

was literally thinking a similar thing.

It can cause panick K3K. But yes, good evolutionary reflex. Especially coming off +35kt on a stinky lake. Water tends to jet under the eye balls at that speed, and end up with pink eye for a few days. So harder shut the better IMO.

maybe im a bit more resilient because of kitesurfing (usually when you get teabagged a bit/dragged under water with modern kites it's best to try and stay calm and wait under water for 5-10 seconds, holding your breath, and keeping your eyes closed until everything settles rather than try and paniccontrol the kite which just burns oxygen and makes you breathless.

When I get burried by the rig I ust accept that, stay calm, then surface. If my head hits the sail i just go back under, tilt my neck back and just move my mouth up under the sail then breathe in. Then I have a bit of a feel to see where the boom/sail is and then surface next to the rig. If you hold onto the boom at all times you are well oriented anyway.

Contrary to popular belief not having a breath in before you submerge makes no difference - the primary purpose behind breathing in is to breathe out co2, not have more oxygen which does not make you less breathless anyway. If this is a real big issue then it's probably better to do some co2 retention exercises i.e. holding your breath for a bit while using the computer.

After a big crash at the end of last summer I realised that I always keep my eyes shut as soon as I'm bracing for impact until my head is back above water. I kinda come up with my hands first feeling if anything is above me. Since that crash I paid attention to what I do and just wondered what others do , a couple of times I've come up under the sail and probably would of prevented this had I had my eyes open.

why does it matter if you come up under the sail? eye protection is more important. the atlantic is way too salty to have your eyes open anyway.

presumably new thing again to make the kite more stable in strong apparent wind... in the picture the dice definetly has small battens.

i hate(d) my 15.5m switch helium because when the winds are light there a luls where the kite would love to hindenburg unless you were lucky enough to be gliding and diving the kite through the luls and hope the lul goes away. Also turns like a traktor.

Surfboard with a 10m kite felt much better.

^^ Kite lines.

kite lines are not an issue as they are usually visible. and kites are attached to them. If there is no line tension and the kite is in the water the kitesurfer is usually in trouble as he has to swim and is trying to relaunch his gear or recover it in which case he'll need a lot of space and you should go around upwind.

The real crux of the issue is that fishers on their boats should really have 2 black triangles out if they are fishing, especially if they run long lines......
