Anyone have experience with a longer midlength (6'+) with lower volume (-15-25 liters vs body weight)? Feels like most of the midlength boards fall into two categories - either shorter lower volume boards oriented towards prone or longer higher volume boards oriented towards wing. After trying some midlengths, I'm thinking that i don't really benefit from the volume as much as I do the length and I would love to try something in the 6', 60L (-20l) range. The length and surface area would efficiently bring the board to the surface with a small amount of power and the volume isn't necessary for me and actually destabilizes the board in my opinion.
anyone tried something like this? Has anyone seen a board like this on the market?
I have been looking at the Super K 60L 5.9x19.5 @4.5kg.
Currently on a dragonfly and sinker - If the FW paddle up phase passes at some point, this could be my only board (@77kg).
I have had it in my hands but not tried it, as shops tend not to demo those sizes.
