what is the influence of using long tailed fuselage for wingfoiling. for example i have a supercruiser foil. i put a large s-type eing in front, on the SC fueslage.
so i am not sure if i need the surf fuselage or the one i use will work.
any thoughts?

The longer the fuselage the more stable the pitch of the foil. At higher speeds short fuselage is much harder to control. Longer fuse = easier to use.

doesn't it matter if the length infront of the mast or behind it?

Yes it matters.
More length in front of mast moves coe of front wing farther forward, forcing you to stand forward more.
Length behind mast gives pitch stability, which hurts foil pumping and short snappy turns.
The jury is still out whether a long tail fuze needs the front wing forward [RRD], or back 1" [Naish].
