apologies if this has been covered before... however, I would like to know more about e foils after watching one out today and the rider was having a ball today. Do they handle fat old blokes at 96+/-KG ??? thanks in advance.
I own one (90kg) but got a bit bored with it after a month. I enjoy wingfoiling sooooooo much more, lots of challenge and fun. If you're in a low wind place then go with Hilly's suggestion. Foil Drive! Much cheaper and much more scope for changing foils, masts etc to tune it how you want it.
Short efoil, far from boring, owned for 15 months. When no wind just perfect. Tomorrow morning Swansea Channel in upto head high swells again hopefully. I also kite foil and windwing, love all of this foiling sport. But each to their own.
The game changer in the e foil range will be when the weight of them comes down and they have the ability to pump/glide without motor assistance in surf and swell.
Just had a look at those Foil Drives....they look fantastic. Comes in at a fraction of the cost and weight and can work just when you're on the wave. Keen to hear how you go Hilly.

I thought I heard that there a couple of companies looking at making a commercial version of an electric "tow board". Of course maybe I'm mistaken. This video is one of the DIY versions. I think this would have some potential appeal as well (and reasonably cost effective)
