So I listened to the hype, and bought the new Duotone Units, DLab 5m and 6.5, and standard 4.5m. What I would like cleared up up and if there is any comeback on the manufacturer in regards false advertising!! All they want to do is fly on their back!!! Contrary to all the hype, oh they flat so neutral you can fly them off their leash!! Come on guys this is total garbage, they invert at every opportunity, not something you want to happen when in serious waves. This is a relatively new sport, there are a lot of sponsored riders contributing to reviews that don't accurately reflect a products performance, for me the Unit is almost a great wing, but is in reality not much better than the old slick! Honestly, Ive bought both from dealers at retail!! Looking forward to a go on the Slick SLS.

I have 5.5 and 4 Dlabs and in over 20 sessions flipping over has not been an issue.
Yes at times it flips but possibly on average twice a session maximum.
Best wings I have ever had which includes Slicks, and many others.

Dlabs are definitely more stable than the std Unit. I've stiffened the handle on my std 3.0m unit which helped a lot, didn't need to do it on the 4.0m Dlab which flags great for me. I think it's the down side of a stiff canopy, always generates lift. You do get use to it though and for me it's worth the compromise for all the other benefits. Hype was a bit over the top though. SLS is very nice and easier to pump than the Unit but I preferred the lighter feel of the handles on the Unit.

As I indicated the Unit is still a really nice wing to use, and the Dlab weight is incredible. Flagging on a wave is so good, but you wouldn't let go, but when it sits on the water in recovery mode, it will always flip onto its back, and this is where you want that stability, especially on a sinker and waves. Great wings, but can be improved.

Ah was thinking you meant flipping by riding which it does not do. guess it depends how you fall off to which way it sits on water, best way is to keep hold of wing when you fall then no issues. suprised you went 5 dlab and 4.5 normal as the dlab will hold as much wind as the 4.5, guess if you break the 5 you have a back up ??

Noticed the same thing, I just push the wing down until I want it. can't flip if it's being jammed into the sea surface : )

my strikes did flip much more then the units. For me it was an upgrade on this issue

My Slick SLS flips even worse than my original Slick. I realize now it's just something you have to get used to with these wings. I try to hold the wing by the leading edge handle only, because if i flag it out by the leash, it will flip. oh yeah, and falling less helps too.
