I have mostly ridden Armstrong since beginning foiling . I did learn on Axis but that was years ago . I'm 155 lbs / 70 kg . Im looking for a foil that has the best balance of front and back foot pressure or one might say best pitch control. Is there easier better foils than Armstrong..??

Not sure what Army wings you are riding but if you are looking for something easier to ride Axis would be my first pick with a new vast range of low , meduim and high aspect wings & Lift has a great range also . I'm a Cabrinha fan but limited wing choice . Fanatic new Carbon range is great as well, especially for the ding , Gofoil , Naish , Takuma & Signature are also in the easy to ride club. Give us a bit more info on what's going on and I'm sure the Army guys will chime in to tune your set up but I hear you the Army's do rip but not for everyone.

Wouldn't shimming the stab leading edge down help to balance out the front and back foot pressure?

In my experience the Armstrong HS foils i had were not difficult to ride but they felt weird compared to anything else.
I learned on Takuma and i never got used to the way the Armstrongs accelerated without requiring increased front foot pressure.It sounds like a good thing but to me it felt like some feedback was lost.

Generally speaking a longer fuse and bigger stab will make any foil tamer in pitch.
But i would really try to test other brands (Gofoil GT for example) before buying something non-standard.Modern foils are pretty well balanced and useable out of the box nowadays.

Axis has more tails, fuselages, wing series with a purpose, than any brand in the world. It's very easy to get the feel any rider wants, with guidance from experienced Axis people.

I've ridden Slingy, GoFoil, Axis, Armie now back to GoFoil. The new GoFoil RS1000 is a winging weapon. Fast, turns, great pitch control, breeches are a non event and best of all it doesn't make any whistling noises. Axis have plenty of good wing and tail offerings now in the black series. Lift 120 could also be worth looking at, but requires a more forward geometry track setup like Armstrong.

I have found that with any foil, finding the correct mast placement is critical to balancing the foot pressure. The best thing I have added to my kit lately are the wingnut m8 bolts for the mast that enable adjustment on the water without tools. I now adjust them all the time especially after switching wings or stabs or fuses. I have become ultra sensitive to micro adjustments. The correct spot is within just a few mm. It is magical when I get the mast just right and my foot pressure is equal and the swing weight and pivot point are spot on. If you really want to dial in your kit and take control of your foiling, get the bolts. I ride Axis and couldn't be more stoked on my quiver. Switching all the parts requires paying attention. The better you get the more important the tuning becomes.

I agree. They've vastly simplified setup of new foils for me, I just need to keep an eye on them in case they loosen because I don't have Fingers of Steel.
