Given that all brands pretty much have struts anyway prior to their claimed patent process, it will not go through as it is not an innovation, it is borrowed from kiting as with 99.9% of the technology.
I don't think Duotone are still "patenting" their boom either as they no longer speak about it in their marketing. I guess their two latest wings have struts

It is an interesting thought having extra struts, but one of the down sides is definitely going to be weight. Even reducing a small amount of LE can not compensate for added struts. Way more seams, dacron and latex. As much as I have to admit it, a batten here would be more advantageous imo.
