I've arrived a bit late today to see any real action other than to watch and chat with a few locals that were out foiling but the weather here is perfect ..

The sun is about to go down but I've just spotted them out racing (or practicing) and I don't think I've seen wing foilers going so fast.. I counted about 20 of them.

Looks like a great location for both flat water racing and waves

. NZ definitely on the bucket list. Did you bring your gear to wing as well?

(Those pump legs of the slalom races look brutal!)

Perfect venue for a wing foiling comp..

My wife is from Tauranga and no I don't have my gear unfortunately.. We just spent a week at Queenstown Mt biking and doing all the tourist things.. What an amazing place..

I just spotted a mobile sauna that someone had towed to the beach behind their car.. Never seen that before..

Just found out it is $15 for the hour..

Great posts David, I love the mount main beach for surfing. Looking like winging on pilot bay in the last photos.
As you're in to mtb, check out Rotorua (45 minute drive from there) ?

Thanks.. I've been to Rotorua before and we plan on going there again this time..

My son Anthony (antman) is competing over there - hes having a fat time. Especially the tow and prone surfing when not competing - he said its awesome.

Totally disagree! ... nicest wing out there graphically IMO... also comparatively their last wing was crap!

They certainly stood out on the water and graphics are a personal taste.. I liked them and they're a huge improvement over the last two.. Arnie wouldn't confirm that the production wings will look like this..

The handles felt good..
