I been struggling with stiff wing 4.5m at 10 knots. No problem getting up with 6m nova pro -24 wing but flagging is so much better with small wing.

Need a wing with great low end and flags out great. Any recommendations? Ozone flow seems to have ok low end and flags great. Why don't they produce a wing that has great low end and flags out great. That is what many needs in waves. :)

The flow is pretty good on the bottom end size for size and with the correct technique it can get you up up in wind that is not enough to keep foiling in my experience. Its about as good as a non alullar surf wing gets i think.

Too much focus on the bottom end will rob the upwind and efficiency on foil. I think most brands have now struck the correct balance.

The Cabrinha AER (simple and very light construction) almost seems to have fallen out of time when everyone is switching to Parawing. But it could still be a good fit for something like this. Has anyone ever tested it?

there's a lot of hype and marketing about the parawings, but i believe it's only because it's the new kid in town. very few are actually switching to it. if anything, i see fewer folks trying them out now than a few months ago. i suspect people are realizing what i did...normal wings are easier to deal with. and this thread asks specifically about low end...not a high pt of parawings.

Yes for true light wind, sub 10 knots, I definitely agree parawing isn't the best option. For moderate days it can present a big advantage over normal wings. Ive had some really great sessions and diwnwinders in winds around 15 to 17 knots. In these conditions I would usually be on a 5m wing which really gets in the way especially when downwinding in lighter winds. With the parawing I can tuck it away and have full freedom to focus on the bumps same as sup foil.
So yes originally I had thought parawing would be pointless in under 18 knots but now I'm looking more towards a 12 knot threshold.

ps. They say 2025 is the year of the parawing but its also the year of parawingers hijacking forum threads

With the right technique, I've found that the low end on parawings can be within 1-3 knots of similar sized inflatables (in wind >14 knots). If you can get it dialed then you'll have the undisputed best "flag out" performance possible.

They say it's cheap but it's not. Cost the same as others. Don't know about the quality. Guess it's like fone v1/v2 light weight but gets bagged out fast. The idea is good!
