I just replaced my Fanatic Glide V1 725/165 wingset with the Duotone Glide V2 750/165.

Re the stabilizers which are different. Same size/ area (165cm2) but V2 is High Aspect and V1 is not (see attached photos).

Is the V2 stab faster than V1 stab? Looking at V2 it looks like it would have less drag over the chord length as this is shorter than V1 chord length, and the foil profile thickness(ie the depth from top side to bottom side) looks a bit thinner .

Having said that, V2 has a wider wingspan over V1 and maybe this cancels out my thoughts above? No doubt it's all far more technical than that but looking at V2, it just looks like it would be faster than V1. What are the differences between these two stabs?

AOA and then probably draft thickness will be far more important for drag than the slight AR differences

in my mind... nothing to back that up but the engineers will be here soon
Subsonic.?

For general riding, when two stabs are the same area I pretty much always find the thinner stab to have an average speed that is higher. Which one you can push to absolute highest maximum speed though... that's something I'm not too sure about since I don't race.

The Duotone designer talks about stabs in the Tech Talk on Glides V2. The H has less AOA. Faster but less pitch stable, go together I guess
