I had both the Plus Ltd (4 and 5m) and bought the Pulses (4 and 5m, and 6m Superpower), and they are quite different animals. Like you I thought 'yeah, I could do with a bit more power' but it's more than just power. The Pulses are MUCH stiffer wings, which means they feel much more powerful, and the balance and feel in the hand is quite different. Basically, it's as they describe in the description on the Web.
The Plus handles nicely (apart from it 'rag dolls' more violently at the end of the leash due to the more pronounced dihedral shape) and had a massive range if you're not using a harness as long you pump it up enough (ie to the top of the recommended pressure, and a few more pumps for luck) . I've had the 4m out in 30 knots (survival but controlled) and I weigh 65kg. I had no issues using for three hour sessions.
I think you really need to use a harness to get the most of the Pulse. They just make more sense with one due to the extra power and how the power is delivered. You spend more energy controlling the Pulse so you need to take some pressure off the arms. Stability and wind range with the harness is great. I was OK on a 5m in 20-25 knots which would have been more of a struggle with the Plus Ltd without a harness, on a easier handling, less powerful wing.
Bottom line, buy with caution! The Pulses are great, but not a Plus with more power.
EDIT - I really enjoyed the Plus wings and initially thought I'd made a mistake with the Pulses, and would recommend them.
Thats great thanks for that. What about the Superpower that seems more sedate in the power delivery reading the descriptions?
