Can I get some advice on the new Naish Wingsurfer MK4, I have a 5m Matador LT, and a 4m Matador, these cover me from about 13 kt to 27 kt maximum. The Matadors have excellent low end, but seem to 'top out' quite early, so looking at the new Naish MK4 as a softer wider wind range wing. If someone has tried them , would a 3m MK4 be a good choice from 25 kt's upwards. (weight 75K)

I love the Matadors and they do have a lot of low end grunt.. but they don't like to be massively overpowered because they feel so stiff.. Especially the Matador LT.. I guess they were designed to be flagged when waveriding or downwinding with the priority being low end to pop you onto the foil.

With the new MK4 WingSurfer Naish has used what they have learned from Matador but given it a slightly softer feel.. I haven't tested the top end of mine yet but I'm loving it so far.. I think it's designed to be used for constant sheet in power rather than mostly flagging.

The 3m MK4 should be a great high wind wing.

The MKiv is also very powerful but also very stable in its top end. The physical characteristic of the wing will likely give it more top end than the Matador LT when sheeted in and going for it (as said by DJ). The wind range is big, but also so is the power which can feel confusing at first. I am finding I liking to ride with a harness all the time with the MKiv. They love to pull.

I am using the 4.5m more and more as my go to wing. The range is huge. I imagine a light weight like you will get lots out of the 3m but I haven't used it yet to give you an actual on it's power. What riding, where, what skill level are you planning it for?

Hi DJ and Windgenuity, Thank you for your advice, further to your questions , I am using a Naish Ultra 85Litre, with a 1240 HA foil, , Skill level, or 'Lack of Skill' Level, I can complete most of my gybes, good at toe side riding, interested in waves, where I used to kitesurf on a directional. Today I used the Matador 4m on flat inland water, gusts to 28 knots, where the 4m was difficult to control, in the average windspeed which I guess was around 22 knots it was good. So I'm hoping the MK4 3m should extend my wind range up into the early 30's.
