What is that bit of string for at the head of strut? Ease replacement? thanks

its attached to the bladders, if you have to repair or replace you tie a draw string onto it to
pull back in place !!!

Apparently, some wings now have strings attached to the bladder so that the bladder does not bunch up or twist when the wing is hung up to dry, and then pops when it's inflated. Can't say if this is an example, though, or of this string is supposed to serve a different purpose.

By my understanding North is the only one attaching strings to keep the centre strut in place so it won,t twist when hanging to dry.

The string - there are two of. top and bottom. This helped me replace the strut bladder on the new SLS. Thick fishing line thread through and pulled bladder into place just like on a kite.

I think most companies do this now. Ozone certainly have internal attachments for the strut bladder
