I have been riding a Slingy Infinity 85, and it's been great at 2066cm2, but it is slow. I have a Slingshot H5 from kiting but it is small at only 707cm2. I am 185lbs. Is it worth me giving the H5 a try in the rare high winds we get where I live.

I learned on the i99 which was great and stable but reallllllly wanted to try something new. I went with the Axis 1060 wing, about 1800 sq cm. I'm loving it and it gives plenty of lift and is crazy fun. Definitely happy I went with a good all around wing. I'm 90 kilos.

I'm 112kg (245)pounds I can use my Hs 850 Armstrong foil for winging it's gotta be 20+ kts to get it up

With small foils you lose lift and glide but gain speed and control in steep waves. I am 105kg and have gone down to 1050 which is amazing in steep waves but not so good riding small wind chop or bay reforms. You need the right balance for your conditions, light winds and small waves stay larger. I have settled on a 1500 wing for most conditions as I like the easy glide and linking bumps, not being so reliant on the wind allows me to use a smaller wing. But if there is solid swell I use a 1200 foil for control.

Give the H5 a go on a windy day and see how you like it, nothing to lose.

GL120 and Kai are my smallest so far. Really love the 120 when it's 20+ kts. So bloody fast.

I wing the axis HPS700 when it's over 25kn. It doesn't have much glide but turns so nicely and never breaches at speed
