Hi elk. I have thought exactly the same as you in the early days of foiling. Even before Winging started. It would be a bit like a biplane. Maybe call it a bi foil.

The main reason for me was the serious problem of breaching with the early model foils. That is. Just as the large foil gets to the breach, the smaller foil underneath takes over & you are away. But now the longer span high aspect foils seem to have this under control somewhat. So I dropped the idea.
But now as you mentioned it. It may just be the ticket when winging to be able to use a smaller Windwing. The larger foil just underneath the board to help seperate the board from the surface of the water easier. Then the smaller foil to ride on. This would alleviate having to have such narrow unstable long boards.
It wouldn't be hard to design or make if I had the equipment. If so, I would have already done it.

Maybe a large Wing attachment that can be clamped at any height on the mast?
Now that we have talked about it. Watch this space. Lol
