Wings bag out after lots of use. Could I fold the canopy over itself 1-2cm along seams running from leach to leading edge, tape over and perhaps sew to tighten up an old wing?

Ask your local sail maker.. He'll know.

I have spoken to local sailmakers
The answer is yes. In fact, they can replace the entire canopy.

one of our local guys has replaced the wing material between the bladders and tightened it all up.

Can you get some pics? It would be interesting to see it.
I wonder if there is...better material that could be sewn in.
