Thoughts on the "Compact Midlength" trend? (Indiana 74L Review)

Hi guys,
I've recently switched my daily driver to the Indiana Compact Midlength (CML) 74L and wanted to share how it's working out.
I feel like this category (shorter than a DW, but longer/narrower than a prone shape) is really the sweet spot for most of us. I've found I can get going in 10 knots without needing a 7ft board, which makes wave riding way more fun. I just posted a video review where we discuss the shape (recessed deck, squared tail). here the complete video:

Has anyone else tried the CML or similar shapes from other brands? Do you prefer the full length of a DW board or the compactness of these mid-sizes?

Im getting a custom Frank board built for wing and Parawing. 70L, 6'/20". Single board travel quiver. I won't give up my small sinker for dedicated winging or my bigger mid for lighter wind parawing, but I think this shape should cover me for a wide range of conditions without too much compromise. Pretty similar concept to the Indiana, but I think the efficiency of a little more length will help with the pwing. Not sure I'd differentiate Compact Mid Length from a Mid Length though... Will report back upon delivery!

how much do you weigh dry? and how thick will this board be?

I weigh 80 kg dry. Im usually on 60L boards, but my dedicated pwing board is 83L (although I've pwinged 60L too), so this kind of splits the difference. Dont know the exact board thickness (I'll know soonish), but with these dims its going to be relatively thin, which is what I like.

2 here have the 6ft x 70l Chimera by Naish which fits the above.
Works extremely well for FDA and windwing

F-One have had the ML and the Rocket Wing Crossover in their lineup the past year for a reason. Both midlengths, the ML aimed at low-wind conditions / sizing up, the Crossover aimed at riding your regular medium size (weight-15L) for your allround conditions with just a little more length and more centered stance compared to a traditional medium sized board to get all the benefits of an ML without the negatives when you have enough power. Anything over 5'10 when you're powered just feels cumbersome to me.
