Has anyone tried the new 80 cm HD alu mast from Takuma? With the new HD fuse?

There has been lots of comments on the softness / flexness of the old alu mast. Also some fitting (fuse to frontwing) with the fuse. Keen to know if the new HD is really a step improvement.

I understand that the fuse to mast screws are upgraded to M8 (?).. can anyone confirm?

I have the new carbon mast with the new fuse and yes it's 2xM8 for both carbon and alu HD connection with the fuse.

The front wing connection to the fuse is much improved as the first screw expands the fuse to create a tighter fit. It's still not rock solid like the Axis fuse connection but much better still.

The use of a harder, more durable aluminum and an M8 screw for the fuse to mast connection could potentially address some of the issues reported with the previous version. However, it would be best to try the mast out for yourself or read reviews from other users to get a sense of how it performs in real-world conditions.
