Anyone ridden one?

Keen to read an unbiased review of Dacron Vs Alula, and also thoughts compared to Duotone float?

I've been a long time fone winger but had units v1..tried an old used dlab this week that was impressive...but damn I'm not sure I can get passed their crappy valves. Also flagging out handle and performance felt worse compared to Swings...but loads better in all other aspects (speed, grunt, upwind, tacks).

I've only ridden the Aluula. Its rigid. Performance wise I'd say inbetween the V4 and V3 in terms of feel. Consumers generally didnt like the V3 since it was higher performance / harder to get going, but I personally preferred the performance that wing offered over the V4 which was more grunty but less fast & powerful at speed (closer to the V2 due to public demand). The V5 Aluula felt like it was somewhere in the middle inbetween the 2, grunt of the V4 but performance of the V3, maybe even faster. Insanely stable, way more stable than the units I tried, but that goes for every f-one wing. For me it was the first time riding a boom, so that could've played into it feeling more rigid (my personal strike is a V3 with soft handles).

I wouldnt be able to comment on the Aluula vs Dacron debate. The previous versions in Dacron where good too, dont know why the current one wouldnt. I dont know if there is a difference in shape too or just a difference in material.

I have owned fone wings v1-v3 tried V4 and V5 aluula version. Always concerned about the durability. I also tried duotune wings, vayu aura, Ozone flux, slingwing v5, Sabfoil Ala. But I went for slingwing NXT so light in hand, don't get fatigued in arms in strange ways and don't need harness because of that. Flags out great. And with boom it's sooo nice! Have good low end need 12 knots with 4.5m. It not that fast. The boom/handles could have been smaller. SUP Valve like fone! All should have SUP valve. Best wing I tried and owned to this date.
