Maiden voyage coming up this week on my new wing foil gear: 2022 Fanatic Sky Wing 5'-8" 125L, Duotone Slick 6.5, and Slingshot Hoverglide foil probably with i84 to start. Anyone out there using Slingshot foil on the Sky Wing? Saw some chatter here that maybe Fanatic foil box is far back. Does the SS foil work in B position (my regular setup on my Wizard) or will I need to use C position?

Thanks for ideas and any tips.

Sky Wing 2022 boxes are a few cms further forward than 2021. Youtube recommends putting foil in board as normal with board on floor, so foil in air. Place hand under thickest part of foil (centre of lift usually 1/3rd way back) and lift board off floor. Adjust position of foil in box until board lift horizontal so centre of lift matches centre of weight, and place feet either side of centre as a good starting place.

At 125L I presume you are riding quite a plus volume board even if you are a big guy, so this will be a bit less prominent for you than what I describe. I have the 5'6 Sky Wing and, as it is just plus a couple of liters, I find the center of flotation has me standing pretty much at the front edge or the foot pad to have level board trim at very low speed as I am just getting going. As I don't want to shuffle my feet around during takeoff, I run my foil pretty far forward. This works fine as I am strapless, I would have to run the foil further back and get into the straps once moving if I wanted to use them.

Haven't done the Kane de Wilde inverted board test that patronus describes on this board yet but should, it is a good reference point to fine tune from.

Not familiar with B and C positions, gong foils here and my board is marked with Roman numerals for placement.

I have 2022 5'8 sky wing and use infinity 99 as low aspect option. Works great and feels locked in and balanced. I have base at back of box with outer holes used to put bolts through. Not inner back holes which would in effect make base go further back.

works fine... I basically learned to wing on i99 and Sky Wing 95 (first version) somewhere in the middle. i76 in B position w/ windsurf fuse on that old board need to shove the foil all the way back.

Hi I'm tying to get in Winging. My foil is Windfoil set up with Infinity 99

Do you use infinity 99 in B or C set up ?
