I need some help as I have decision fatigue and am struggling to decide whether to get a Duotone Skybrid 85l or KT Super K 80l or even a similar sized Drifter 4. I'm an 85kg intermediate rider who likes to blast upwind and chase swell to surf back downwind. It will be my only board and I ride mostly in 10-25 knots that is a bit gusty with the odd 30 knot day. Probably can't go wrong with either board but if people have made this decision already I would love to hear your feedback on these boards.

F one midlength 90l is awesome, rides small or the 78l

Between those two the Super K is the easy choice IMO. It will have better low end so you can minimize your wing size for less wing management while surfing and is almost a full kilo lighter (6.25 vs 5.3kg)

I'm 86kg and ride the same as you. I put over 4000 kilometers on the Sunova Carver this year and I wouldn't trade it for either of the above boards. Mine was 5'10"x20"x85l and weighed in at 4.88kg with no footstrap inserts and in vapor build. Best swell riding board I've ever had!

Haven't ridden a Skybird, but have a 92L KT at 90kg, love it, so fast through the water and up onto the foil that I will probably size down my front foil this summer, Seems to be well built and very reactive for a 6"5' board.

Tried the Skybrid, Sab Torpedo, Indiana and some other midlength,s and got a superK 92l. Awesome board in everything from super low to high wind. Since I got it I haven,t used my Wingdrifter 5.4x56l. Not even in 3.5 powered up. I used it on flat water up to 3m+ breaking Atlantic swell.The 92 feels quit big for its size so with your weight I would go for the 80l.A friend of me is your weight, (really liked the SuperK80), but prefered an even less wide board so bought the new Naish Midlentgh 85l.

You're going to love it!

My Sunova 7.6 Casey Elite DW board construction is amazing.Last aug the Missus was learning to wing on it, leying in the water for a while while some idiot completely missed and ran straight in to her.
He just missed here by an inch but the foil did fully hit the Sunova. I have seen crashes like that with foils going halfway into boards where with the Sunova only the rails was cracked (see pics).I was very happy that the Missus was okay, but also suprised how (relative) little damage there was given the speed and that a foilmast ran into it on full speed. I have seen cracks like that on other boards just from dropping it.

That said, my KT Wingdriffter5.4x56l is after 2y still faultless and so is my SuperK92l and they are here in stock.In northern Europe there aren,t a heap of Sunova,s on stock, so waiting forthem for 6months isnt uncommon.

Absolutely no problem! I'm using my SK8's 850 & 1050 on a 95 cm 14 mm carbon mast on the Super K 92 l. As far as I remember it's positioned almost in the middle - maybe 1-2 cm direction the front.... I've also used that board in 2-3 m waves and side off conditions with a 3,5 wing and the sk8 850 - fantastic allrounder and versatile board for my 90 kg!
I'm always using straps and have a 70 l F-one board for really windy and stable conditions - but tend to ride the Super K a lot more than the F-One board.....

Yes no problem. No mast shim needed.

For a few months now I have been using my SuperK 60, weighing 70kg, with AFS SILK 850 foils mainly. I am quite happy with the quiver in waves and I am planning to try it in flat water using a mast wedge or the AFS PURE RACE 560 foil.

Unfortunately no. It's mentioned in this video. No public photos that I've seen yet. I bet if you messaged Greg he'll tell you about it though.

@Ursus: yes, but being bigger boned the Silk 1050 is my go to foil (although I also own the Silk 850, Pure1100 and Enduro1300)....and still have some fluxxes as well :)

Today I used the SILK1050 for the first day with ha38 and 75 mast in prone, I loved it. Obviously it doesn't spin like the 850 but it has an incredible pump and it's still super fun. I'll soon receive the stab Mako carve and glide so there are a lot of combinations to play with these two SILKs.

I've got the same one, it's awesome! My riding has improved allot over the last 6 months. I'm riding small foils and thinking about purchasing a smaller version as my sinker.

Check out Voga Marine's new midlength. Amazing quality and some exotic materials....

Fanatic continue to have terrible production quality. Personally, I dont think it's acceptable to pay over $2k for ****ty boards.

I talked to Greg from Omen and the new Supermarine is in sizes 95L and 105L. They are meant for beginner intermediates or folks who regularly have to slog home. The flagship Omen Flux which has been out for about a year already has not shaped because he thinks it's perfect as it is. I agree with him. I have the 60L and the 84L and I'm 95kg. The 80L Super K is two inches longer that the Omen Flux 84L. It's a good board too but I like the solid construction of the Omen. It flew off my car on the highway and only had a couple scratches. It also gets up quick.

Yes! should be a thread starter. maybe ill put more thoughts out when I get some extended ride on both of the new boards. Im 100kg, I'd been on a huge range of brands in my wing foil journey. When I hit the 60 L Flux it was such a game changer for me. When I heard Greg/Omen were rolling out some new boards I reached out to him. I find him super bright, innovative, generous with his time and a great communicator. From my emails with Greg, my understanding is the new line is really 3 different flavors. Low(er) volume Emissary, higher volume Emissary and new beginner, bigger volume board the Submariner. I ordered the 55L Emissary as an everyday wave/wing foil board. And the 78L Emissary as a lightwind DW board. I jumped on the 55L today in 14-16mph. Totally stoked. Board feels super responsive and efficient. Next Level. I feel like the 55L Emissary for me has at least the low end of the 60L flux. But super sporty

Which board should I get to replace my 85L Naish Hover for all-around wingfoiling? The Omen Emissary 66L or the Super K 60L (or the Super K 70?)? I wing in Rhode Island in everything from light wind to 30kts, flat water to waves. I'm 155lbs, gybing, tacking, pumping short distances, riding waves a little.

The dimensions are very similar with the 66 Emissary vs the 60 Super K. Is the Super K a little rounder displacement nose? Does it have a more concave deck? I rode the 80L super K and it just feels really nice. It seems like KT just nails it. Anyone rode both of them in similar size? I'm leaning towards the Emissary mostly because of the 66L size, but never seen one in person.

I'm 66kg and was between the super k 70, flux 60/72, or emissary 66. I was leaning omen because of the appletree construction. I sent omen an email with some detail about me and my riding and they responded with a very detailed response recommending the 66L Emissary. Just placed the order tonight!

This will be my only board for now, then plan to keep it as my light wind board when I get a smaller board down the road.

Excited to try it out!
