Hi. See photo. Arrow is direction of travel but board is riding angled off.

ive been getting some success with my gybes and I noticed today that when I'm riding switch there is a lot more noise from the mast through the water.
When I had a look at some film from the session I can see that the board is "skidding" whilst I'm riding switch. Can feel it rolling and pitching which doesn't help when riding switch. It also leads to some fantastic face plants because it pitched the foil down and drops the foil wing into the flow leading to a complete stop to the board.
can anyone tell me how to try and stop this or lessen it? foot position?
lean more?
bend legs? I'm riding with front straps but no rear strap.
cheers

I would try to pull the wing more to the back. Your board should point more upwind than. But I am not sure, as I did never notice anything like that.

Definitely this... You need to push the Wing toward the back of the board. Your leading arm should be almost on your chest. It will feel weird initially, but will become second nature quickly.

When riding normally, take note of where the Wing is in relation to the board and match that when you are toeside.

In that image, if you push the Wing back a foot or so, you should see the front of that board Pivot straight to where the arrow is.

take the foot straps off and try moving your feet around, this helps open up your stance more

Bank the board, toeside way down, opposite of leaning on heels when riding normal.
Ride the foil, not use the mast like a fin.
