I weigh 50kg and I would like a sinker board that I can sink super easily to make no effort in holding it down and just focus on pumping with the wing.

There's a guy here that weighs something like 65-70kg and uses a 34L board to achieve this, so 50% of his weight, hence I'm thinking I'd need a 25L board.

I'm aware that shape and volume distribution could also make a difference in how much I can sink the board. What would you advise for me?

Also, do you have any ideas where to find such a small board for wing? Surf foil boards can get pretty small but they usually don't have the holes for the V straps at the front.

Thank you!

I'm 65kgs and have the 29L, and 34L Armstrong FG board and the newer 40L Wing board.
40L is definitely the most used out of the bunch. Mainly prone the smaller boards. The 29L I was able to use with a 2.3M and 525 foil one time. That was wild! Definitely more effort to get the board up to the surface. For me, the more narrow 40L feels much better going from sitting to kneeling to feet in a couple seconds while holding the wing.

Awesome, thank you for the info. I did a test ride yesterday with a 25L fanatic sky surf board and I found it quite easy to control and take off. What surprised me was that if I crouch on top of it with the feet in the straps it's barely sinking, which is ok because it makes it easier to take off, since I'm closer to the surface, but also it doesn't allow me to extend my legs down into the water and start from a more comfortable position. I can extend my legs down a bit and sink the board more if I want, but it requires more effort to avoid the board wanting to slip out from the side. So I'm wondering if an even smaller board would make sense. If I found a 20L board I guess it would be similar to your 29L for you. Does it feel better to take off on that smaller board compared to the 34L or in the end sinking too much makes it harder?

Eddy, you're describing a crouching-tiger start, while MAF is describing a rodeo start. You need more volume (~60-100% liters per kg) but less wind for the rodeo.
