I only have an old single action pump which is fine for my 8m Zeeko Notus Air kite.
but my zeeko Yipsilon 6 & 8m wings require heaps more pumping.
so enter my solution. From removing wing from bag to ready to go about 4m39s
pack up back in bag almost same within a few secs.

How does that help with the packup? Does it have a suck mode as well?

I have never understood people using electric pumps for kites. You still have to finish off with a hand pump to get up to pressure.

It takes me 70 pumps from my 5m wing and about 90 pumps for a 12m kite (thinner bladders than a wing) and takes barely 1-2m.

Slow steady pumping is best because it avoids bladder alignment problems and gives a gentle warm up for the coming session.

My biggest problem with setup and packup is the need to do separate trips to ferry the board and wing between the setup area and the water, and having to find stuff to tie the board and wing to in strong winds. I suspect the solution to that problem is smaller, lighter boards with decent handles that can be managed with one hand in strong conditions.

Didn't help with pack down, just timed the process.
the hand pumping to finish off added 30sec.
a double action long stroke pump would be quicker for sure.

My 5.2 Gaastra Poison takes 111 strokes with one 2 way pump and 120 with a Naish 2 way.
Since I'm almost 72, I need a break before full inflation.

50 seconds from deflated to fully inflated. Setting the electric pump to 42 KPA accurately gives 6 PSI when checked on my Duotone kite pump gauge. No manual top up required.

Have one the same with digital readout.Set it up and it does the job in no time.They are a few kilos so grab your pump if a long walk is required.

Being a kitesurfer I was intrigued by the idea of a quick set up for winging, no bar and lines , no harness just pump it up and your good to go.

But in my actual experience the setup time for my kiting is equal or slightly less than for my winging. I have the mast and fuse on the board but can't fit it in my car with the wings so I have to bolt them on. Then pumping the 5m ozone wasp requires way more pumping than any of my kites so the set up is probably a bit longer.

Then if you count the time spent wading with the wing and foil and faffing about trying to get going then I am well behind on time.

But if setup time was all we cared about we would all be floating in the lineup with 20 other blokes hassling for waves.

Same here, pull the wing out of the van and start the electric pump. Then pull out the board with foil already attached. 1-2 minutes from start to finish.

Then I faff around for 10 minutes putting my wetsuit and booties on.

contrast this to the 15-20 minutes it takes me to set up my gear to go windsurfing.
