so I'm 130 kg, active in kite surfing and Enduro style motorbikes.
I did kite foil for a while, but only light wind.
Looking to these wingdings for riding the fat swell through the larger bays.
My question is, what recommend gear
I'm planning on 150 l board, 2400 foil wing and a 7m wing?
Is that enough, who makes it, brands and models.
Being in Hobart, demo fear is nearly non existent, especially in those sizes.

A lot depends on the wind conditions in your area. Here on Maui the bigger braddahs I see are using wings that pull hard for their size. Look for Armstrong, Ensis, PPC in that 6.5 to 7 range. Better way is to go to our local wingfoil spot and talk to some of the bigger guys.

Yeah alot does depend on the wind you want to go in and how easy you want the learning curve to be. You could start on a bigger board like this www.oneoceansportsaustralia.com/used-boards/d7eo38m0in1zhgpv8q0h2jwi8broks which will make the learning nice and easy if the waters are pretty rough where you are planning to learn.

We do have a shorter recessed deck used custom here as 6.10 x 31 x 146L that we made for a guy the same weight which would also suit on the board side.

For the foil, yeah nice big wing about the size you mentioned will do, I would look for something strong as well as you might bend a lot of the thinner Alloy stuff.

Wind wings there are 1000's on the market now and lots of good stuff to choose from. On the board side I would suggest something built strong as 130kg is a bit of weight to be bashing into the board all day and if they are made cheap it will show super fast.

I am 105kg and would agree with Paul 6m big enough. Over that they will hamper the learning process by dragging wing tips and being heavy. 150l board, 2400 foil and at least 15 knots to start with. As you improve you will go down in sizes and wind.

150L Naish Hover, Naish 2400 foil, 7m Duotone Echo or Slick will get you started.

After you sort the basics, you can figure out if you want to go for a smaller board or foil.

Sounds good to me..

Naish do a 140L Hover (board)..

Also a 2450 foil.. and 6.8m wing.

A few of the big brands have 160 litre boards this year . all nice and compact at 6'6". ( pm me if you want details on those)
Good strong alloy foil like last years Fanatic 2500 and perhaps a secondhand echo 7m... quite a few on FB groups, and shops are doing discount on echos.

I bent an aluminum mast, I weigh 90kgs. If possible go for carbon full or partial. The manufacturer replaced it but better go for something stronger.

I keep hearing that, but I'm confused what is strong

Actually, I'm 100kg's too and the advise on the Axis riders FB page is for the bigger guys to use the 19mm Alloy mast rather than the Carbon!

Duotone Slicks don't hit the water even for me with a 6.5 and I am way way under 6ft. The delta shape and wing tips that are parallel to the water surface works for me.
I can pump up and foil in less that 10kn windwing with Axis 1050.

I am still a beginner so I am not sure what strong means either. My F4 carbon mast with M8 bolts feels a lot more sturdy to me than the aluminum mast with M6 screws I had before. Also a lot more expensive. So maybe going cheaper for first mast is better?

I was 110 kgs when I started and used a 142 litre windfoil board with a 6.0 echo. The stability of the board in the early stages made it easier too learn the control and a big 2500 cm2 foil made it easy to rise at slow speeds which kept the crashes to a minimum. I eventually got a 7.0 m Echo and it was a good step up in power and I still use a 7.0m with a 2500 cm foil on a 160litre board in winds from 10-20mph.

A 7.0 would be ok unless you are quite short.

Go big for me at 225lbs Axis 1120 82cm 19mm mast,short fuse,only way to go over 100kgs IMO,Axis Alum mast for big guys are in league of there own very minimal flex. I started on a quatro 115L you being a bit bigger maybe a 125L board depending on your skills.Depending on local wind strength get a 7m wing or 6m wing.Ensis has a new 6.2 out,also perhaps PPC,Cloud9 6m come to mind you need a powerful wing to get out of the hole lately as my technique improved I mostly ride 5m as with the 1120 underwater it's gets us big guys going in light conditions like no other and so many other Axis wing options if it's a bit windier locally,Bottom line if your 225Lbs plus you have to go with Axis no doubt

Nothing wrong with Slingshot HG foils for big guys either. I'm 6'4" and 220-225lbs and find the i84 to be my most used foil. I have the i76 and i99 as well, but love the i84.
For my board I am currently on a Slingshot Shred Sled 143L 7'x29" big enough to learn on, plus I can SUP foil it if I feel like learning that too. I also have a KT surfing Quatro wing drifter 6'x30" and 130 Liters for when I get a little better.
Tried out the new F-One Strike CWC 7.0 last Sunday. Going to buy the 7.0 Strike CWC and a Strike 5.0.
