the seadevil can be used with and without a stab...
I tried the triton and it was very difficult to wing imo and quite a different mastposition and focused on more wind/ advanced (kite) riders

The Seadevil seems to aim more and getting max low end without an huge span. to keep some maneuvrability.
For me as an 97kg rider/ DW wannabe in low energy lake swell it looks great so i,m very interested, but i can see that it won,t suit everybody.
Right now I,m on holiday in Crozon-France where we have clean Ocean swell, and here you don,t need such foil...but back home in the slow ans low energy stuff

I hope to demo one soon!

And.. it does seem like the new best wing for learning. Which is probably bigger than anything for the sport

The big one looks like it could be great for SUP foil in small waves. And the smaller one for winging in swell.

I'd want to test it, but they're claiming decent glide with extreme maneuverability.

Anyone think it is a Triton copy that's been around for a while.
There are a couple of Tritons on here second hand.

I initially laughed this off and dismissed it...but hearing the comparisons to at least SAB's alternatives for light wind winging (like my Leviathan 1150 and 1350), I think this might be an attractive option. The Leviathans are super lifty and get me up in really light conditions, so time on foil is really boosted for me in my conditions, but they aren't much fun to ride, especially if you want to turn or of the wind really picks up...

So...paint me curious, and looking forward to more real world rider reports with good comparisons to other foils...

You should try 1260 1360 for light wind winging it's great!

Foils were getting smaller and smaller. Guys bragging "I'll never ride anything bigger than 600"... And then we get this.

@ZeroVix. Totally different. There might be some overlapping when the water is truly flat, but the sea devil remains fun to ride in a pretty big chop as well, which is not the case with the 1350, or even with 1260 I'd say. These two feel the sweetest if the water is not moving around that much. The lift of the sea devil is super smooth, not anything like the 1350 that has this explosive lift at very slow speeds already. And the breaching is very secure, makes you push yourself and try riding very high on the mast most of the time. Nothing much happens if you breach, you just continue riding. With the tail the sea devil is crazy stable and easy. Perhaps not the most efficient with the tail, but oh boy it's like riding on tracks. I am pretty confident now that I can use it for beginner lessons.

Had a very short run today with a 1040 with a tail, and then a longer and way more fun one with a 840 raw. My second day of riding with the sea devil. 28 km/h (not pushing) with the 1040 with a tail, and 33 km/h while casually jibing with the 840 (no tail, and again, not pushing for the speed at all). The wind meters showed average wind 5.2 m/s, and gusts up to 9.2 m/s. Please note that at my weight (72 kg) I am banking more on the 840. For the desperately quiet light wind days (with flat water), I am not sure that these would ever replace the big and efficient pump foils.

Would it be possible 1040 to compare with old Tortuga 1250 in terms of glide and lift?
Both of them are 2400cm2

A bit of Sea Devil 840 action from today, hope it's useful to some of you. Just a few moments in the clip are with another foil (700 cm2, with a board that has foot straps), but the majority is with the Sea Devil. Amazed how good it feels in such conditions, and how forgiving it is.

So does the Sea Devil pump and glide to an acceptable level ? ( ie what we would expect from a modern foil) . Obviously it will be manoeuvrable as hell but it still needs to do these two other basic foil functions , esp if it is being marketed as being a good solution for weak lake swell. Would the 1040 go well with a 100-120L sup foil in your opinion ? Main reason I ask is that early feedback on winging experience on the Triton monofoil was not that positive for pump and glide, it was all about the manoeuvrability.

This is what I hope for with the SD.A bit like with the old Go-foil Iwa but in a mordern apprtoach. not fast but very easy up to foil and fast enough to runners on a lake where you do around 15km p/hHopefully mine arrives next week or so

I already was thinking about switching back to the R8 mast & fuselages, the SD might be another good reasons to do so. Looks great for SUP foiling, downwinding on the lakes and for learning (the parawing).
Now riding the Piuma (and love how light and swift that feels), but Sabfoil has discontinued that line and does seem to focus on the Kraken connection.

I've ordered both, 1040 for SUP foil (and maybe ultra light wing) and 840 for lighter wind+wave winging. Getting impatient as they've not arrived yet and we've had two days where the 840 would've been perfect.

nice video, good riding. How much more sensitive the 840 is compared to 875 Razor Pro and is there a big difference in glide, pumping and stalling speed between the two, please?
