Just compared the weight of the new S27 64cm fuselage compared to the S26 64cm fuselage. The S27 is definitely more robust, a much larger mast to fuselage connection point and is thicker in this area. The mast adapter area has an unremovable plastic cover, insulating the carbon from the alloy and is quite a snug fit.
The S27 fuselage is 734gms, 48gms heavier than the S26 which is 686gms, but there is no alloy adapter fitted to the bottom of the mast on the S27 so it probably balances out.
The 85cm S27 carbon 100 mast is 1977grams, 78grams lighter than the 85cm S26 Composite 35 mast which is 2055gms.
Even though the S27 uses M8 hardware for the mast/fuselage connection, they are the same torx size as the wing and stab attach hardware. Nice
