ENSIS for instance have a very tight canopy and good low end.
I was using my 3.5 Ensis score today, swapping between the two. Feels totally different to the S26. pumps up quick, tight canopy but twitchy compared to the S26. S26 feels more locked in.
I suppose can't have it all in awing.

I'm not sure if this vid helps but I think you will find it's a techneque thing and not an issue with the wing design.
I find short pumps work best and it's more a both arm thing rather than just a rear arm thing (like windsurf sail pumping).
I don't think it's a design issue just different skill set needed, I tend to do the big oval sweeps as in 2nd vid, will try shorter pumps and see if it gets me going early.
