I've been riding the 5'8 - it weighs 5.5kg and feels solid as a rock. You can't beat Cobra factory quality. Oh, and it works great too.

PeterP , How is the stability when not up on foil? How does it feel once up and flying and during touchdowns. What foil are you riding?

Stability when not on foil is good for surf-shape (pulled in nose ie not square) as it has flat tail rocker and quite hard bevelled rails and the volume is perfect for standing around off foils for guys up to 90kg (my weight) - if you use straps you can keep front foot in strap and be perfectly balanced. Kneeling the balancing sweet-spot is reasonable - not huge, so the first time it might take a little getting used to if you are coming off a bigger board.

The flat rocker, hard rails and light weight makes it easy to get up on foil, the release is very quick.

Touchdowns are easy as long as touch down angle is not too acute, flattish touchdowns just skip back up - steep touchdowns can catch a little but easy to manage.

I've a used a number of foils Signature, AK and Takuma - as long as foil is set up for zero rocker board you don't need to shim and most I've been riding a little forward of center in box - just seems to balance board better for pumping.

Board is very light and this makes it feel like a much smaller board once on foil.
