Hi guys,
i would like to hear your opinion about Slingshot phantasm Mast size. I am considering the 92 Mast for Wing foiling and occasionly use for windfoiling;
I Sail in flat and choppy conditions. Or should i go for the 82 length?
thanks

I winged and windfoiled the longest Slingshot alloy mast at 92cm and it felt great with a bit of flex though. This was my setup for windfoiling for 4 years and winging for 2.5. I now do both on a 100cm carbon mast from another manufacturer and it is good too, though I haven't had it in swell yet where it.might ride a little low unless I fly high. Also I should mention I don't jump.

A lot of personal preference I guess. And local conditions.
I used a 92 cm for the first year or so and then switched to 82 centimeters. It's a bit stiffer and makes going in choppy onshore easier. From what I see, 82 seems to be what most pros use at the moment, too.

Juergen,
I kite the 102 and wing the 92. I was on the 90 alloy for a long time then decided to add a 92 Phantasm to my kit.
If you are in chop go the 92, and as you want to windfoil too I think your on the money.
If you were into free style then I'd say go the 82.
A lot of the Slingshot riders around the world are in the same boat. Sam Light loves the 92cm Max Robinson uses both. So in short it's personal.
Either way you'll end up with a great mast.

I first used the 92cm phantasm mast for wing and windfoil when it first came out and it worked really well.

Then I switched to the 82cm for winging only and that's all I use for winging.

Couple of weeks ago I was foil testing the new G-series foils and felt that the 92cm was draggier and much more so in tight transitions
(I only use the 92cm now for wind foil). Even in heavy ocean swell I still use the 82cm mast! Hope this helps...
