I'm pretty early in parawing progression. Been spending some time on brm kaa 4m and ozone pocket rocket 5m. I think the pocket rocket flies better, but it is a tangle machine. The lines are obviously long and that's a common complaint for the pocket rocket. Is the tangle characteristics of a parawing mainly due to line length or are there other factors that play a big factor? It feels like the shorter bar and the yoke system on the brm also is important to prevent tangles, but I'm curious what other people think. I had a game over tangle on the pocket rocket today that it took me 5-10 mins to sort out on the beach. I'm scared of doing something like that far from shore

In comparison to other lines, yes the pocket rocket lines are more prone to tangles. However, you may come to find, like me, that you appreciate the suppleness of the lines vs the abrasive nature of others down the road. You're line management has to be top notch with the pocket rockets, especially the big ones to keep your tangles away.

Over time, you'll also get better at line management and untangling. Most tangles really are just a moment or two to fix, but you have to know how to untangle and why you got tangled in the first place to get those quick turnarounds.

Totally agree with Brian on suppleness of the pocket rocket lines.

Just another example of review criteria that no one mentions yet some brands will have you wearing gloves.

Oh yeah, with experience all tangles can be rectified very quickly and easily in wind under 25 knots and where your not flying an oversize parawing for the conditions. One day you will just realize you no longer get tangles much at all and even with the pocket rocket. Dropping the bar while stowing caused my worst tangles.

I have only had one tangle that wasn't resolved in the water without help. Don't fly through your lines and have them go over you head and down you body if you have a waist Koahi invisi leash. The coils behind your back with arms and legs wrapped makes for a scary experience. I didn't do it a second time.
