First sighting of the pocket rocket v2?

" Product details
Parawing Ozone pocket rocket V2

The Pocket Rocket V2 is the ideal choice for the majority of riders thanks to a brand new profile, an optimized sail shape and a new shape plan, combined with several "user-friendly" design elements already appreciated on the PowerPack.

NEW FORM

Reduced aspect ratio offering better wind range in light winds and more "grunt", ideal for quick foil takeoffs

New elliptical contour improves responsiveness and provides a more progressive bar feel

More compact shape (low elongation) reducing the risk of the ends touching the water compared to the V1

Upwind sailing was as easy and impressive as ever

SAIL STRUCTURE (CANOPY)

Diagonal ribs at the front allow for better load distribution from the leading edge to the sail

New profile working in harmony with the new shape and Bow Bar to reduce the "on/off" effect during variations in angle of attack

A more forgiving wing thanks to a lower stall speed when sailing close-hauled, allowing you to go upwind without perfect technique.

DESIGN ELEMENTS INSPIRED BY THE POWERPACK

Shorter bridle and new central front line lift facilitate quick folding

A more responsive and easier-to-maneuver wing

Stiff bridle material with a special coating allowing for smooth hand movement along the front lines and tangle-free storage.

Compact when folded (although slightly bulkier than the PowerPack), ideal with the Stash Harness, Stash Belt and Mission Pack

New Bow Bar design, shorter than on the V1, for more control and comfort (introduced on the PowerPack)

New simple backpack that can be used on the water with a spare wing

BRIDLE DESIGN - IN DETAIL

Central elevator for the front lines:

Grouping the front lines via the central riser - excluding the end lines - greatly reduces the effort in the hands and allows you to reach the sail more quickly and easily.

New bridle line material

Developed specifically for the parawing, this new material benefits from a special coating for smooth handling, without friction or irritation

Optimized line diameter and rigidity:

Guarantees a quick, clean, and knot-free fold every time.

V-shrink tabs on the trailing edge:

Precisely positioned to reduce the number of brake lines while ensuring even tension across the entire trailing edge. This simplifies bridling, facilitates folding/re-deployment, and the rounded parachute shape generates a powerful "grunt" to efficiently catch the wind and get you up on the foil quickly.

GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR POCKET ROCKET

We highly recommend pairing the Pocket Rocket with our dedicated harness lines (available in multiple sizes) and a harness such as the Ozone Stash Harness or Stash Belt. These products will allow you to benefit from:

Less upper body fatigue

A faster and more efficient upwind performance

Longer and more enjoyable sessions

For adventure sessions, use the Ozone Mission Pack - designed to carry up to two spare wings, a phone, a water bottle, or a smoke grenade. It's also ideal for wingfoilers who want to carry a spare parawing in case their inflatable wing deflates.

TECHNICAL UPDATES - AT A GLANCE

New, shorter bridle, inspired by the PowerPack

New Bow Bar design for a high level of control

New compact shape reduces the risk of contact with water

Refined profile and improved sail tension - including a diagonal rib structure that further enhances upwind performance and low-end power

A WORD FROM THE DESIGNER

"The Pocket Rocket V2 introduces a refined profile, a new lengthening and a new bridle that work together to establish a new standard of progression.

It's more predictable and intuitive, which speeds up learning and gives the confidence to go further. Power delivery is smoother and more consistent, with a wider sweet spot and less sensitivity to piloting errors.

When sailing upwind, there's more tension to rely on, while when sailing downwind, the kite stalls later, thus widening its wind range. Reducing the aspect ratio improves inflation, handling, and control, while also reducing tip contact with the water.

A new material for the front lines speeds up folding and redeploying, and the addition of a 5.7m size opens up even more possibilities in light winds.

- Dom Zimmerman, Lead Designer Ozone

WIND SIZES AND RANGES

Thanks for sharing ! I've heard there might be a 5.6 m2 size coming for the new PR - is that confirmed ?

Do you have any info on when pre-orders will open and expected delivery timelines?

Will the full size range be available at launch?

thanks !

Frothing. My only real complaint with the v1s was probably the laser cut edges and they all look reinforced now. Big question I have is how large can I go and still do a full retract in one pull! I would love to grab a 5m and start riding light winds and get more ocean days in.

The cats out of the bag.I've ordered a 4.3m. Don't know when it will arrive but hopefully by end of May. Pretty happy with my power pack 3.6m. but know this will be more refined for upwind and downwind sessions. I think the largest offering v2 is 5.7m.

On the V2 windrange chart the new 5.7 was left out for some reason, looks good hopefully upwindability is still comparable with V1PR with lower aspect than V1
anyone tried one yet?

I never saw a written v1 wind chart. Ranges look about the same to me. No significant difference which is nice for planning an order. Everyone else agree?

For more low end in larger sizes I would go for 777 UDW 5.6m, because of the design for pulling you more downwind when trying to get up on foil.

The 5,6m UDW hasn't exactly had raving reviews, getting criticized both for being hard to pilot and having a very narrow wind range. I'd see it more as a back up pw for dw for when the wind drops, it seems to be very uncomfortable riding upwind - in other words the complete opposite to the pocket rocket. If they manage to get the line lengths of the 5,0m and 5,7m bellow 170 cm I'm very interested.

Ordered the mission pack with my new Pocket Rockets and just saw this little review on the mission pack. Looks great:

Holding 2 full size parawings without issue is a big deal IMO.

Is it just the camera angle, or have they shaved a fair bit of AR off the V2?
Hope redesign hasnt dumbed down that glorious fast, steady wing-like PR drive hoicking upwind.
Or is it the PT Hybrid for that now??

I ride PRs but have a 5.4 PT skin and i hate how it pulls you downwind and falls back into the wind window. Can't wait for a bigger PR and getting a larger wing that is designed by people who know about bridles/canopies.

I am a bit surprised about your comment after watching some very positive reviews on the PT Skin. Can you explain this a little more?
